Allington residents in protest march to save Bluebell Wood……. MORE
Planning Applications (MBC) 13/1749
We are not out of the Woods yet !!
The recent application was refused by both MBC and Tonbridge & Malling. Croudace will now go to Appeal because they firmly believe they will get a favourable decision from the Inspector because of the NPPF Regulations. Now is the time for you to voice your opinion…..! If we do not let Croudace know how we continue to feel about this development they will think we going to accept one of their schemes… VOICE YOUR OPINION
The leaflet from Barton Willmore is confusing. (we hope you agree?)
As a resident in this area NEITHER scheme is acceptable.
Scheme 3 - confusion over no of houses - they propose to build 420 PLUS 80 = 500... NOT just 80 houses.
Access road between the fields will cut across the ancient woodland - causing irretrievable damage.
Scheme 2 - no of houses will be 420 built in reservoir field - this number needs to be reduced.
No infrastructure in place in this area to cope with either scheme.
Too much traffic will be generated by this development into Hermitage Lane.
Neither schemes even mention MBC's requirement of a country park… (this will also safe guard future development in the lower fields…)

RESIDENTS OF MAIDSTONE ARE NEEDED TO ATTEND THE TOWN HALL ON THE 8TH DECEMBER 2016. LEofHL GOES TO PLANNING COMMITTEE (03-12-16)
** E V E R Y O N E N E E D S T O A T T E N D **
In 2013 NAAG's unwittingly managed to delay the commencement of the planning meeting due to over 200 members of public staging a peaceful protest outside the town hall and then wanting to get into the council chamber to witness the meeting, a room that could only hold around 50 people. Chaos ensued for sometime until another overflow room was opened. This was quoted by the planning chairman as being the biggest audience he had seen in the town hall ever!
So NOW in 2016 we want to beat that number of 200 people and demonstrate to councillors, planning officers and executives that an even bigger volume of public opinion has gathered to protest against the forces the council and developers are placing on our lives... we do not live in a dictatorship, our opinion needs to be listened to and we will stand up and be counted. The accumulative effects development is having in our area of Allington and Hermitage Lane is catastrophic and totally without thought and consideration to those it impacts the most.
WE ARE NOT BEING LISTENED TO.
****** PEOPLE POWER WILL NOW SPEAK OUT ! ******
Where are when to attend?
Maidstone Town Hall, High Street, ME14 1TF
8-Dec-16 Arrive 5:30PM with banners for a peaceful protest outside the town hall before the meeting commences at 6pm.
Who should attend?
** Local residents of Allington, Barming, Aylesford and surrounding areas need to attend.
** Users of Hermitage Lane for commuting and pleasure need to attend.
** People concerned about the health of our children and future generations due to high pollution levels in Maidstone need to attend.
** Dog walkers, ramblers and countryside campaigners need to attend.
** People opposing over development of The Hermitage Lane corridor need to attend.
** Residents living in Tonbridge & Malling catchment area need to attend.
You must SHARE this post to help spread the message to our neighbourhood so everyone possible attends.
COMMUNITY SUNDAY WALK 20-NOV-2016 12PM (16-11-16)
Everyone is welcome to join us for a Community Walk. We shall meet at Barming Heath at 12pm this Sunday for a circular walk around the sites (existing & proposed) of Hermitage Lane.
This will be a chance for residents to meet their local councillors and to discuss how to express their views for commenting on the T&M local plan proposals.
If you are unable to attend but still wish to get in touch, please do. It is important that residents make their views known on the Housing, Highways, Public Transport, Open space and Landscape issues and the likely increase in air pollution.
PLEASE ACT NOW - THESE ARE THE ONLY EFFECTIVE WAYS YOU CAN HELP SAVE HERMITAGE LANE
The address for responses is: Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council Regulation 18 Local Plan Consultation, Planning Policy Manager, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, Gibson Building, Gibson Drive, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent. ME19 4LZ.

This is an early consultation and a listening exercise by our neighbouring council. Please do act now. No one else will do it on your behalf and this is only official channel to make your voice heard. Please make a simple response/letter or no one else will.
DEVELOPERS WANT TO CLOSE OUR QUEENS ROAD CONVENIENCE STORE (07-11-16)
Once again a developer has seen an opportunity to build houses to gain profits at the expense of the local community by submitting a planning application to MBC to demolish the Payless Store, Queens Road and build 6 houses on the site.
This shop is the only convenience store in close proximity to several estates and properties in Queens Road. It is impractical to build even more houses in this area as Queens Road has been over developed in recent years and is becoming a rat run due to traffic trying to avoid the Hermitage Lane congestion as well as all the traffic generated by the schools.
For once planners should consider the needs of the existing residents, many of them elderly. Local Residents have set up a petition opposing this application and would ask that as many people as possible write :
Geoff Brown, Planning Dept,
Maidstone ME15 6JQ - quoting 16/507472 by 28 November 2016.

LEofHL RESERVED MATTERS PLANNING APPLICATION - COMMENT BY 19/10/2016
Croudace have submitted alterations to their Reserved Matters documents that all require re-reading and commenting on. James Bailey (Planning Officer) is quoted as being "very frustrated & annoyed" by this which has resulted in the planning meeting for 27/10 being postponed until 17/11 to give him time to read the amendments. (70% changes). GOOD WE SAY!

3000 HOUSES IN EAST MALLING
DID YOU KNOW TMBC WANT TO BUILD 2000-3000 HOUSES ON THE EAST MALLING RESEARCH CENTRE SITE AND A NEW BYPASS ROAD!
DID YOU READ OUR EXPOSÉ ON THE KCC, HIGHWAYS ENGLAND REVIEW OF THE M20 FOR THE MBC LOCAL PLAN EXAMINATION? WELL THESE FIGURES DO NOT INCLUDE THIS ADDITIONAL HOUSING NUMBER!
BECAUSE WE RESIDE ON THE BORDER BETWEEN 2 COUNCILS THAT ARE NOT JOINED UP INTERNALLY IT MEANS EACH BOROUGH COUNCIL DOES THEIR OWN THING IN TOTAL ISOLATION. THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR RESIDENTS AS WE SUFFER THE END RESULT OF POOR COMMUNICATIONS AND DECISIONS MADE WITHOUT ROBUST CONSULTATION.
WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER IF LOCALS RECEIVED THIS AS A COUNTRY PARK INSTEAD ?
THE TMBC LOCAL PLAN IS NOW BEING EXAMINED "The Way Forward consultation" AS THEY CALL IT AND IS AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND COMMENT ON UNTIL THE 25TH NOVEMBER 2016
